The staff at Midwest Elite Dance Center takes pride in providing the best possible service to each individual student. Motivated by their passion for the art of dance, the Midwest Elite Dance Center staff feels that they need to pass on their traditions, their skills, and their knowledge to the young dancers of today.


Stacie Hawley

Owner/InstructorBFA Dance Performance and Choreography

Stacie was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio, and began Stacie Hawleydancing at the age of five. At age nine, she began competing regionally and nationally winning numerous awards and dance titles. In June 2008, Stacie graduated cum laude from Ohio University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance Performance and Choreography. While attending Ohio University she was an accomplished member of the Ohio University Modern Dance Company which toured along the east coast. She has trained multiple summer seasons at Broadway Dance Center in New York and at EDGE Performing Arts Center in Los Angeles under the instruction of Gregg Russell, Blake McGrath, Doug Caldwell, Christina Woodard, Gus Giordano, and jazz legend Luigi. Stacie has won many choreography awards in jazz and tap at national dance competitions. She is currently choreographing for high school dance teams and cheerleading squads in the Cincinnati area, and is currently the dance team coach for the award winning Turpin High School dance team. Stacie enjoys judging for multiple dance competitions on the weekends across the United States. Her other areas of study include dance pedagogy and kinesiology. Stacie’s reputation in dance is recognized by her enthusiasm and determination for positively enriching the lives of all her students. Stacie is extremely excited to premier her new dance studio!

Brittany Hendrixson

Brittany Hendrixson has been dancing for 15 years Brittany Hendrixsonand started dancing at the young age of 3. She has studied jazz, ballet, acro, hip hop, lyrical and tap. She started on a competitive team at the age of 7 and has won many awards. She was a national dance team member for Rainbow Connection and Starquest. She participated in a dance parade in Paris, France and the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade in New York. Brittany has studied under dance greats, such as Lauren Gottlieb, Mia Michaels, Shane Sparks, Sky Hoffman, Carrie Locklyn, and Kacy Combs. Brittany advanced her dance career and education by attending workshops and conventions. She was a Milford High School dance team member for 2 years. She graduated from Milford High School in 2009. She is now attending the University of Cincinnati-Clermont College. Brittany has a unique modern style that works well in today’s choreography. As a teacher she promotes fun and perfection. She is excited about sharing her love and passion for dance with everyone at Midwest Elite Dance Center.

Michele Sutton

Michele started dancing at the age of 4. She was born and Michele Suttonraised in the Cincinnati area and started competing with local studios from age 8 through high school.  She has won numerous awards, both locally and nationally. She also performed with the Cincinnati Ballet Company’s Nutcracker for 3 years. Her patience and enthusiasm for working with the next generation of dancers makes for a positive and uplifting learning environment.  Her passion for exercise and dance naturally transforms to her love for Zumba. Wanting to promote physical fitness, she is a high energy, certified Zumba instructor with a CPR certification.  Michele is excited to help people of all ages achieve their goals through dance and loves being a part of the MEDC family.


John Mingle

John is originally from Corpus Christi, Texas where he began his danceJohn Mingle training at the age of six with the Corpus Christi Ballet. He continued his ballet studies with Texas Ballet Theater School and the Dallas Metropolitan Ballet. In 2012, John earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance Performance and a Minor in Photography from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. John has spent summers studying on scholarship with the San Francisco Ballet School, Pacific Northwest Ballet School, American Ballet Theatre, Joffrey Ballet and Complexions Contemporary Ballet. During the 2012-13 season, he was a member of the Cincinnati Ballet where he performed works by George Balanchine, Septime Webre, Victoria Morgan and Devon Carney. Some of John’s favorite roles include the Waltz Man in Balanchine’s Serenade and the lead in Arthur Mitchell’s Holberg Suite. John will be joining Dayton Ballet for the 2013-14 season.
